NLC, TUC propose N56,000 as new minimum wage
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress of
Nigeria (TUC) have jointly proposed N56,000 as the new minimum wage to
the Federal Government. The minium wage presently is N18,000. The NLC
president, Ayuba Wabba, at a news conference in Abuja today April 27th,
said the new minimum wage was proposed to the Federal government
yesterday April 26th.

Buharri urges world bank to facilitate speedy repatriation of stolen funds
President Buhari has urged the World Bank to do all within its powers to
facilitate the speedy repatriation to Nigeria of stolen funds still
being held by Swiss authorities.
Speaking at a meeting with the visiting Managing Director of the World Bank, Ms. Sri Mulyani Indrawati, President Buhari said that the repatriation of the additional $320 million in Switzerland, which has been identified as illegally taken from Nigeria under the Abacha administration, will help to ease the current economic hardship facing the country.

Conduct Tribunal CCT today April 27th, the Chairman of the CCT Danladi
Umar, ordered that all security personnel attached to the senate
president or any other top politician should henceforth stay out of the
court room when the trial commences. Giving the order, Umar said his
order was a safety measurement for all those present in court
