In a yet to be aired interview for Forbes TV's "My Worst day with Peace Hyde", Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, former Governor of Central Bank, said nobody who had touched (confronted) embattled former Minister of Petroleum Resources Diezania Alison-Madueke when she was in office, survived it.

I have ordered security agencies to deal decisively with rampaging herdsmen- Buhari tells Catholic Bishops

Against the background of reports of continued attacks on communities across the country by armed herdsmen, President Buhari yesterday May 2nd in Abuja restated his administration’s resolve to deal decisively and expeditiously with the matter.

Speaking at a meeting with members of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria, Buhari confirmed that heads of national security agencies have been ordered to take all necessary action to apprehend and expose those behind the heinous attacks.

Late Stanley Etim was picked from his work place (Sparkz shop Etta Agbor, Calabar) on February 5, 2015 by a team of policemen from SCID, Diamond Hill Calabar, over allegations of armed robbery.

According to The Nationale, the unnamed Nigerian who is said to be 26 years old, was arrested on January 29th this year at the arrival lounge of the Dubai International Airport.

35 years old Mohammed Sani Nafiu (pictured) who was yesterday May 2nd, paraded by the Nigerian Army as one of the suspected killers of General Mamam Shuwa, says he was framed by the military.  According to Vanguard, Nafiu who is said to be a Boko Haram kingpin, was arrested at Hotoro General area of Kano municipal. A GSM and a total sum of N300 was recovered from him.

Afeni Shakur, mother of hip-hop legend Tupac, dies at 69

Afeni Shakur, the mother of rapper Tupac Shakur, died on MondayMay 2nd in Northern California. She was aged 69.
The Marin County Sheriff's Department confirmed her death via Twitter, adding that deputies responded to a possible cardiac arrest situation at her Sausalito home yesterday and transported her to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Kenyan rescuers have pulled an 18-month-old girl from the rubble of a six-storey building in Nairobi, four days after the block collapsed, killing over 23 people.

"Good news!" Kenya Red Cross said. "A child aged about one and half years rescued alive at 04:00 hours [01:00 GMT] and referred to Kenyatta National hospital."
